Poor Sales Service - Run Around I went to Pearson Hyundai on Midlothian Turnpike to discuss the price of an '18 Sonata. I had already test driven the car previously, so my sole purpose for the visit was to receive a price...I explained this fact to the salesman, Rick. I waited in the lobby for over an hour. After I'm sure Rick could tell I was beginning to wonder what was going on, he came back over to tell me he was waiting on a manager to come talk to me about pricing. 2018 Over all I pleased with my new car. Only one thing really bothered me one of the sales man said I could link up to GPS on my screen!! After I read the book and tried to get it to work, I found out I need Blue Link. Which I do not have. I was really disappointed that I was given the wrong information but, I'm still pleased with my new car.

Hyundai Elantra My experience at Pearson was not what I expected from a Hyundai dealer. I had to speak with the service department due to issues on my 2017 Elantra and I felt they were unable to address the issues adequately and professionally.

Poor experience and no follow up I’ve taken two Hyundai Sonatas to Pearson for service for the last 7 years. I always had great service, and accordingly gave exceptional grades on Hyundai surveys. I’ve emailed in the past to compliment about the terrific service. Unfortunately my visit last week was not one of those times. I brought my 2014 Hyundai Sonata in for the factory Hyundai Sonata engine recall at 7am after making the appointment 2 weeks in advance. UPGRADED I TRADED IN MY ELANTRA FOR A TUCSON!!!!!! LOTS OF COMMENTS ON APPEARANCE!!! SMOOTH DRIVING WITH SAFTY FEATURES I ENJOY!!!!!! ALMOST NAILED THE BACK-UP SCREEN!!!!!!!

Concerned for other Buyers I was having a problem with my 2015 Hyundai Elantra. In November of 2016. I went out to start my Elantra and the Battery was dead. I had it towed to Pearson Hyundai in Richmond Virginia for evaluation. They indicated that the battery was no good. There was a 2 year warranty and I was 2 months over the 2 years therefore I paid $166.00 for a new Battery. In July 2017,(8 months later) my 2015 Elantra the Battery died again. Previously loyal customer We have always had pleasant experiences at Pearson. We didn't shop around before this purchase because of our loyalty to them. This experience has been trying to say the least. The car doesn't have features promised by the salesman, has needed new rotors (within a week of purchase), and now has a scratch down the side that did not appear until I was picking it up from the rotor repair. They had the scratch "fixed" by using a paint pen, or the likes, on it but it is not satisfactory. All of these iss... read more

DANGER! CROOKED SERVICE DEPARTMENT My car was in perfect condition at 103k miles. I am driving down the road my engine locks up. Turns out Hyundai has a engine recall and they fix the engine. They call me to pick up the car and AC is not working. They refuse to fix it because it is not under warranty. My car was in perfect condition and everything was working before I brought it in and I expect back the same way. I am hoping to get it resolved through corporate. BUYER BEWARE, STAY AWAY FROM PEARSON HYANDAI

Out the Door - Customer Service No More After the fact, I found out that the sales representative was only interested in our money and his commission. Once he had a signed document he failed to provide any level of customer service or even a response. Three additional items required coordination after the sale was complete and a full month later I am not able to state I am fully satisfied that all three items have been addressed per the terms of sale.
